Sunrise Shack Shark's Cove
Sunrise Shack Shark's Cove
This is the North Shore shack, directly across Kamehameha Highway from Shark's Cove in Pupukea, a few minutes from Waimea Bay, Pipeline and Sunset Beach. It is the closest thing to the original roadside shack that started it all, and it is where most people snorkeling Shark's Cove get their breakfast.
Sharks Cove is a walk-up window with tables under the trees, wild chickens included. It is a favorite of surfers and divers before and after a session, and the best coffee stop between Haleiwa and Turtle Bay. Sunrise Shack began a mile down the road at Sunset Beach in 2016; this location carries that spirit.
What to order at Sharks Cove
- Acai Bowl. Acai, banana and dates, topped with granola, pitaya sauce, coconut and honey. The classic.
- Monkey Bowl. Banana, peanut butter, cinnamon and dates with cacao nibs on top. The local favorite.
- Papaya Bowl. A smoothie bowl served inside half a fresh papaya. A Sunrise Shack original.
- Blue Dream Bowl. Blue spirulina, mango and banana. The bright blue one.
- Bullet Coffee. Organic coffee blended with grass fed butter, coconut oil and MCT. Try the Mac Nut or Golden.
- Toasts and sandwiches. Smoked salmon toast, loaded avocado toast, Monkey Toast, Turkey Avo Aioli and Chicken Pesto.
Why people come here
Every Sunrise Shack bowl is sweetened with dates and fruit, never added sugar, and our kitchens are 100% seed oil free (no canola, soybean, sunflower or vegetable oil in anything we make). We started as a roadside shack on the North Shore of Oahu in 2016, founded by three brothers and a pro surfer, and every shack still runs on the same recipes.
Looking for a healthy breakfast or a post-surf, post-hike refuel on the North Shore? That is exactly what this shack is for. Gluten free granola, dairy free options and vegan bowls (ask for no honey) are all available.
